The UN system is made up of the United Nations itself, along with numerous programmes, funds, and specialised agencies— each with its own leadership and budget.
Together, they work across a wide range of issues to advance the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 and coordinate global efforts towards a safer and more sustainable future. UN City Copenhagen hosts 10 of these agencies, working side by side to strengthen collaboration across the UN system.










Getting to UN City
From Copenhagen Airport
- Take the Metro to Nørreport Station (approx. 15–20 minutes)
- Transfer to the S-train (lines A, B, C or E) to Nordhavn
- Walk ~10 minutes to the venue
- Total travel time: approx. 45 minutes
- Cost: approx. 30–36 DKK (€4–5)
From Copenhagen City Centre
- Direct S-train to Nordhavn Station
- Walk 10 minutes to UN City
- Travel time: approx. 25 minutes
Taxi & E‑Hailing
- Taxis are available at the airport and across the city
- E-hailing apps such as Free Now and Bolt are widely used
Estimated fare from the airport: 350–400 DKK (€47–54)
Bicycle Access
Copenhagen is one of the world’s most bike-friendly cities.
- Rent a bike via apps such as Donkey Republic or Bolt
- Daily rentals from shops start at approx. 100–150 DKK (€13–20)
- Dedicated bike lanes make cycling safe and convenient
- A great option for delegates staying nearby.
Parking
- Underground public parking is available at UN City
- Approximate rates:
- 08:00–17:00: 24 DKK/hour
- 17:00–08:00: 12 DKK/hour
Parking is limited—public transport is recommended where possible.
