Established in 1986, EUMETSAT is an intergovernmental organization comprising 30 European member states. It is responsible for the establishment, maintenance, and exploitation of European systems of operational meteorological satellites. The organization delivers satellite data to end-users and contributes to the operational monitoring of climate and the detection of global climate changes.
